Electric plunger pump system (EPPS)

EPPS provides a combination of the advantages of a rodless method of operation (abandoning the rocking machine and the rod column) and a volumetric pump with the highest efficiency, best energy efficiency and high resource in the presence of complicating factors.

The principle of operation of the EPPS

The Linear valve submersible electric motor (LVSED) is a valve motor D114 mm deployed in length.

Inside the motor there is a secondary element (slider) with permanent magnets, which moves inside the housing due to the magnetic force generated by the stator coils.

The slider consists of magnets and magnetic field concentrators fixed on a non-magnetic axis, which ensure the concentration and direction of the magnetic flux.

The ground control unit supplies three-phase alternating power to the submersible linear motor, creating a traveling magnetic field in the stator, ensuring smooth reciprocating movement of the slider.

The LVSED slider is connected via a rod to a plunger pump and provides reciprocating motion of the pump plunger.

The plunger pump (NPG), by means of reciprocating movement of the plunger, draws fluid from the borehole through pressure valves, through a gravitational gas separator and pushes the borehole fluid through check valves into the tubing.

The HDPE has a built-in telemetry system (TMS). The ground control unit receives data from the telemetry unit (values of pressure parameters, downhole fluid temperature, engine oil temperature, vibration), providing control of the inflow in the well and the temperature regime of the submersible part, changes the operating mode of the submersible engine maintaining maximum flow rate.

The main advantages of EPPS

Obtaining additional oil production by intensifying the inflow while maintaining the maximum possible depression with constant well operation (it is possible to reduce the water content of products).

The control station allows you to select the optimal number of working strokes (up to 20 double strokes per minute) for changing well parameters.

High EFFICIENCY: operates in optimal mode with maximum filling ratio of the pump cylinder and minimum energy consumption.

Energy saving.

Maintaining the set value of the downhole pressure in automatic mode.

Work in wells with any angle of deviation in the suspension zone, up to work in the horizon.

Working with ARPS, due to the mode of artificial fluid heating.

Remote monitoring and control of the installation operation, online monitoring of the well and equipment condition.

The working parts of the submersible equipment are made of wear-resistant materials, with a long service life. The mass concentration of solid particles is up to 1.3 g/l, microhardness is up to 7 points according to Mohs.

Submersible equipment is made of materials resistant to corrosion and wear, which guarantees a long service life in an aggressive well environment: H2S – 1.25 g/l, CO2 – 1.15 g/l, Cl – 20 g/l, HCO3 – 1 g/l, Ca2+ - 2 g/L.

A high indicator of the inter-repair period compared to the Deep-Well Pump (DWP).

The combination of work tools and design features of the EPPS equipment makes it possible to give a new life to a low-yield fund, stimulate the operation of the reservoir and transfer a low-yield fund from the category of unprofitable and problematic to the category of profitable fund owners and attractive to companies providing equipment maintenance.

Currently, EPPS is supplied on an industrial scale to Russia, Ukraine, the USA, Indonesia and other countries. The time to failure ranges from 380 to 850 days.

We propose to conduct pilot tests of the EPPS in accordance with the established procedure with the joint selection of candidate wells.

With positive results of the pilot tests, it is possible to organize the industrial implementation of EPPS, including on lease terms (day / rental), in the future, the opening of a service center for maintenance and repair of EPPS.
