Multiphase pump stations
Multiphase pumps got their name due to the ability to pump simultaneously different aggregate states (phases) of matter.
A single–screw pump is a volumetric, screw machine consisting of:
- frames;
- drive;
- spindle with seal assembly;
- pumping section;
- connection node.
The HESP consists of a horizontal electric submersible pump, mounted on a metal frame, mounted with an asynchronous explosion-proof electric motor, a clutch, a receiving chamber, and an unloading thrust assembly. Depending on the configuration, the HESP may additionally include a cooling system, flexible inlet and outlet hoses, pipe strapping with a filtration system and check valves.
Geometry and principle of operation.
The rotor teeth with the stator teeth form a set of sealed chambers, which, when the rotor rotates, move axially and thus pump liquid.
The single-screw multiphase pump allows:
- pump gas-liquid mixtures with a gas content of up to 80% without pulsation and emulsification. The efficiency of installations for pumping water-gas-oil mixtures is 65-70 %;
- to pump all well products (oil, water, associated gas) directly to the UPPN bypassing the DNS;
- to reduce capital and current costs, extinguish the flaring of associated petroleum gas and use it for technological purposes at the UPP;
- reduce the pressure at the wellheads, increase oil extraction and reduce the stress of submersible pumps.;
- pumping viscous oils without preheating;
- to pump oil with a high content of fur. impurities (up to 1%);
- to pump water and water-gas mixtures into the reservoir pressure maintenance system in targeted injection systems into injection wells with high efficiency.
